Thanks to a Modernization of ventilation and air handling technology with heat pumps, the Cineplex cinema in Vilsbiburg will be more than 50 percent ((summer: 85 percent) energy self-sufficient in future and without fossil fuels. The electrification concept includes cooling and heating supply via a heat pump cascade from WOLF (transfer via water circuit to the registers of the rooms to be air-conditioned), a high degree of self-generated PV electricity and its storage, storage of hot and cold water, as well as the upgrading of the motors of the existing ventilation units and the control of the air volume flow via CO2 sensors. Instead of operating three separate systems (heating, cooling and ventilation), all components are networked with each other using a self-programmed control system. When designing the heating output, all heat sources in the building (waste heat from visitors, appliances etc.) were taken into account and the heating load was corrected from 170 kW in accordance with DIN EN 12831 to 75 kW.
