La Laiterie Saint-Père, a dairy in the Agromousquetaires group did at the end of 2020 finalize a refurbishment of the chill water and central heating water system. Project was a consequence of increasing production activity and the utility installation needed modernization after a long stable life in service. Primary use of the cooling is used for the 770,000 litres of milk are collected daily and the heating primarily to be used in the pasteurization dairy process.
Focus in the feasibility study that went on from 2017 was to select technologies providing the best value to the company, with focus on energy and water consumption, and reduction of carbon emission. Secondly was a focus on future-proof the investment by reducing refrigerant charge and replacing evaporative condenser technology that poses a treat from legionella.
