The thermoroad – full-scale demonstration of geothermal 5th generation district heating and cooling combined with sustainable urban drainage

The Thermo-road is the world’s first road-integrated thermonet within a Sustainable Urban Drainage System, combining geothermal exchangers and stormwater retention. It supplies renewable heating and cooling to 12 homes via heat pumps, recovers wastewater heat in winter, and includes borehole exchangers for demonstration.
