OKKI – Smart heat pumps for air conditioning of large industrial buildings

The industrial sector is the third largest energy consuming sector, accounting for just under 25 percent of final energy needs. In heating warehouses with significant heights, heating systems are generally used that suffer from air stratification problems with uneven heat distribution, with negative impacts on both thermal comfort and energy efficiency and consumption. The solution called OKKI combines an R32 split heat pump with an indoor unit equipped with EC Brushless supply fans and an innovative intelligent system for air supply into the room; Thanks to a series of motorized and self-regulating nozzles called «Smart Jet», the air flow is regulated continuously, autonomously and independently as air direction and temperature, preventing stratification and ensuring the maintenance of optimal comfort exclusively in the occupied area, both in summer and winter.
