Suur-Savon Sähkö

Previously in Puumala, oil and wood chips were used in the production of district heating in the summertime but now a heat pump plant produces the energy into the district heating network from spring to autumn without combustion and without carbon emissions. Therefor oil is no longer needed in the summertime and combustion of wood chips is reduced significantly. This leads to major decrease in CO2 emissions.
