Postipuisto, New circular economy solution

The heart of the solution is one Oilon ChillHeat heat pump. The heat pump utilizes four different heat sources: geothermal heat, wastewater heat recovery, condensates from grocery stores and cooling network.

The heat pump solution is integrated into the district heating system. District heating will provide high peak demand and approximately 1/3 of the annual energy demand. This hybrid solution with several sources of recycling energy makes the system unique.

16 geothermal boreholes in the system are used like a geothermal battery. They are utilized during the winter and re-charged during summer with cooling and grocery store surplus energy.
