The purpose of this system is to reduce the energy costs and CO2 emission of the chemical factory facility by reducing the need of natural gas for facility heating. The system consists of double heat pump system where one heat pump is recovering heat from exothermic chemical reaction and the second is handling the ground source field storage and heat recovery. The recovered heat is supplied to facility heating network.
The heat pump system supplies to heat network water between + 55C … + 70C depending on facility needs. The source temperature varies typically between +10 C… +25 C. Total COP during the year varies between 3,2…4,5. Estimated average is about 4.
