Water and soil are gigantic natural heat reservoirs. Our water in rivers, underground, lakes and coasts causes the greatest possible energy transport in our environment. For an effective use of this energy source, FET has developed a novel energy bung wall. With the patented thermally activated energy sheet pile walls, previously unused regenerative energy sources can be tapped. Upscale residential and office space was built in the Speicherstadt warehouse district in the south of Potsdam. The existing steel sheet pile wall used to secure the banks of the Havel River was over 80 years old and in need of major renovation, so the bank had to be secured with a new 150-meter-long sheet pile wall. Near-surface geothermal energy was provided for heating the new buildings. For this purpose, the installation of the new type of energy sheet pile walls was carried out in order to additionally use the new bank sheet pile wall, which was required anyway, for regenerative and CO2-free heat generation from the Havel water. In this context, HPQ Projektentwicklung GmbH approached our FUTURE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIE PLC (hereinafter FET) with the request to dimension and supply the patented energy sheet pile walls.
