350 Euston Road is a seven-storey grade A office building offering 130,000 sq ft of premium office location, belonging to Regent’s Place, in the heart of London. 350 Euston Road air conditioning plant combines 1 INTEGRA air source smart heat pump (ERACS2-Q) and 1 TECS2 air cooled chiller. Both TECS2, high efficiency chiller with oil free compressor (EER 3.41) and INTEGRA heat pump with heat recovery use HFC R-134a.INTEGRA heat pumps main characteristic is the production of simultaneous heating and cooling, for this reason, besides measuring INTEGRA performance with the traditional COP and EER indexes (respectively 3.41 and 3.14) a new efficiency index was needed, able to highlight the total efficiency of the unit while simultaneously producing both heating and cooling. This index, created by Climaveneta is called TER (Total Efficiency Ratio) and is calculated as below.
