D15 offers heating (heat pumps) and cooling (air conditioning) users the possibility to reduce their electricity consumption by up to 15% depending on the refrigerants used.
Its working principle is based on the compression cooled by oil injection.
A part of the compressor’s oil is reinjected in the form of a mist at the compressor suction. The oil-gas mixture cools the temperature of the compressor which thus operates in better conditions : its electrical consumption is reduced and the COP of the system increases.
D15 can be installed on new systems but also in retrofit of systems already deployed. It is composed of :
-An injection nozzle
-A proportional valve
-A box containing an electronic card which controls the opening of the proportional valve
Example of D15 Project : a D15 experimental prototype is installed in a VRF system of an office building of RIVP. RIVP is a French company that owns several buildings in Paris. The goal is to save 10% of the energy consumption of this machine.
