This first-of-its-kind project will heat the Abbey and associated buildings using heat pumps. Energy for the heat pumps is being collected from the thermal spring water flowing from the world renown Roman Baths to help reduce the carbon emissions. Savings in carbon dioxide are projected to be in the region of 50 tonnes a year.
